After a bad fall on the head yesterday during a snowbaord's training, i wont start for the Verbier Xtrem. I still have pain in my neck and I don't want to attack this wall without a 100% of my ability ;). My next official snowbaord's act will be on Friday, March 26 for a Europa cup to help the upcoming youth ;) and on Friday, April 16 for the Swisschampionshipe :)
Grateful for the interest you show me, I wish you a happy springtime ! You'll hear from me soon again !

Sunday March 7th
Hello everyone,
A wonderful return to La-Chaux-de-Fonds on Wednesday, the third of March ... The
whole town welcomed us, celebrating, Olivia and me. A unique and
unforgettable evening. A big THANK YOU to our hometown for this warm
welcome o)
After a few days of rest and reflection, I’ll leave on
Monday, the eighth of March to Italy, in Valmalenco for the penultimate
World Cup race of the season, which is held on Friday, the twelth
March. My decision is that I won’t attend the Final of the World Cup in
Spain next week, but I’ ll return to Switzerland to participate in the
great freeride event: the Xtreme Verbier o). This contest will be held
from March 20th depending
on weather conditions, o). It took me a while to persuade myself but
the desire is great, my motivation always so big and the discovery of a
new discipline tickles me lot! o). I intend to continue in that
direction in the future, so why not start right away, o). Until my next news, I greet you affectionately,
Mellie
Monday February 22th
Hello everybody,
this time my Olympic
dream is gone...gone for good! For time beeing, I feel a lot of sadness and
disappointment. I had everything to make it: materially, mentally and
physically. I was just ready and for once I could even say it! But this year
the luck hasn't been with me, not at any time:(. Maybe am I faster than luck? I
don't know but any way,it wasn't
with me at the Olympic Games ...
It will take me some time to digest
this experience.
Life goes on and that's why I'm leaving on February 24 to
Squaw Valley (USA) for a freeride world cup;). I've been dreaming for years of
freeride competition: then off I go! I will return on the second of March to
Switzerland to finish the winter season, with more strengh than ever ... I'm
sure that this deception will give me some more power and determination;)
Life is beautiful and can be hard some
times, but there is always a reason to go on, further;) Tenderly from here, Canada ;o) Mellie
Saturday January 16th
Hello everyone,
The time goes on and so do the results: 5th in Austria and 7th in Switzerland, :) I was specially disappointed with the last race in Veysonnaz, where I was 7th since I've had the second best time at the qualifications, you'll understand my desolation-feeling . My form, my energy for warlike were really there, but I couldn't managed them well ...Still, I feel I'm on the right track;). I still have some final adjustments to do, in order to be perfect!). If morale is set fair, motivation and also my desire to fight is becoming stronger:). I am ready and I want it:) Sunday, January 17, I take off from Geneva to Quebec. The Last race before the Olympics:) Tuesday, 19 trainig, Wednesday 20 quali and Thursday 21 the race ... Cross your fingers as usual and everything will go well

Sunday December 20
Hi everybody,
Yesterday
I ended up 4th place at the Telluride World Cup behind Maelle Ricker (can), Simona Meiler (suis) and Dominique Maltais (can) ;o). Everything was perfect, boards, attitude and my fighting spirit ;o). I m very happy
about my result but also upset cause i rode very bad during the big
finals :o(. My bip number and my board arrive at the last moment at the gate start just before starting so it gives me some stress and I start like a chicken and i didn't ride well during all the course :o(
But i m on the good way for the Olympics and i keep riding this way... Im more than motivated ;o)
Cu, Mellie ;o)

Sunday October 25
Hello everybody !
I my first world Cup race on the 12th
of September, in Argentina. Iend
up at the 6thplace. Everything
was optimal, mentally, physically and my fighting spirit… The only problem was
my boards which were not well enough prepared. It probably cost me one of the
best three ranks –snif- But the winter hasn’t started yet, and I’ll be ready
for the next race. Actually I’m in Saas Fee, in the Swiss Alps
with the whole Swiss team for ten days training in only boardercross! Then I’ll
lift for the USA where the second race is taking place. I’m already looking
forward to it!
Have a nice time, all of you and read me on the
next message on my updated site!

Hi Everyone,
Winter is over! Time for greenery and blossoming daisies is up now!
Taking a quick glance backward, I am found of addressing a sincere “Thank you” to all my personal sponsors. Indeed, they have been quite supportive and gave me the opportunity to experience a terrific season. I would like to thank all of you as well, the people who thought about me and loaded me with so much positive energy on the tour. With all my heart, thank you!
I wish you a sparkling spring and a stunning summer!

Hola,
Yesterday was my last SBX race of the season, the Swiss Championships in Splügen. I end up 3rd behind Emili Aubry and Sandra Frei after a crash wich cost me the 1st place...snif...
Thursday March 26
Hi everybody,
I’m getting closer and closer of the end of the season. Last week was the last World Cup race in Valmalenco (ITA) which I didn't run for personnal reasons.
I’m leaving today for the last race of the winter, the Swiss championship in Splügen (SWI). Still an important race that I will take as serious as all the others. Trainings, Qualifications and Finals are all on Friday 28th of March. The finals will start at 7.30 pm under the spotlights of Splügen. A long day but with a great Cheese fondue with all the Swiss Team on the slopes as a recompense, sounds good no ?
I wish you all the best and have a nice week…

Tuesday March 10
Buenas dias todos :o)
Here come some news from Spain or, to be more precise, from La Molina, a little skiing place in the middle of the Pyrénée range, on the border to Andorra and France. The view is beautiful from the top which is at 2500 m above sea-level. It feels more like springtime than wintertime, snow is melting away and green grass shows up as soon as it has the opportunity. It's really warm and the weather-report talks about shinning sun and even warmer for the days to come. We have got to be careful with the sun, not to get burn!
The race is not of my favourite style: it's quite flat, short and has got only 5 turns, a few rollers and that's it! But everything is a question of adaptation, so don't worry, be happy!
I feel well motivated and I've got a lot of energy, I'm ready to bite in this race with my usual « niac » (top shape). Still I start to long for my family and all my friends... I miss you and I think all the time very much of you.
We'll train on Wednesday 11th, qualifications on thursday and the finals on friday the 13th. As usual I count on you to bring me help, energy and good luck!
See you soon,
Mellie

Sunday March 1
Hi everybody,
Again on the podium this season :o). I finished 3rd at the Sunday River
World Cup (USA) just behind Helen Olafsson (NOR) and Maelle Ricker
(CAN). It keeps me at the 3rd place in the World Cup ranking :o).
Thursday February 26
Hi everybody,
I arrived 2 days ago in Sunday River (USA) in the Maine, between Montréal and New York. It's a nice place lost in the middle of trees and rivers. Slopes are quite small, really not much compare to the Swiss Alps but it still is very nice and very fun ;o).
Yesterday was the first training on the spot for the race. A nice slope, quite long, technical with a lot of banks and a lot of obstacles. You have to be really focused and concentrated all the time, if you are not you will crash for sure... I really liked it, I had a lot of fun :o)
Talking about me, I' m feeling really good and fit. I'm still being calm and confident. In two words: everything's OK :o)
On Friday the qualifications will take place and on Saturday, it's time for the Finales. Like always I count on you to cross your fingers for me and to send me a lot of good energy ;o)
Thanks and see you soon
Mellie
Friday February 20
Mellie on the podium ;o) !
I end up 2nd yesterday at the Stonham World Cup (CAN) just behind Lindsay Jacobelis (USA). It bring me at the 3rd place at the general World Cup standing. Not too bad, isn't it ? ;o)
Sunday February 15
Hi everybody,
I just end up 5th at the Vancouver World Cup, behind Lindsay Jacobelis USA, Olivia Nobs SUI, Helen Olafsson NOR and Maelle Ricker CAN. Conditions, course and weather were perfect, everything was with us ;o). I did a big mistake in semi final with Olivia and Helen, it cost me the big Final. But physically and mentally I felt very good and all my material was just on top, it was very close to be really perfect ;o). I keep quiet and keep my self-confindence. Every race is an experience and every race makes me grow up. I know that its coming and it will come :o)
Tomorow morning I' m flying to Quebec where the next world cup race will take place on next Thursday, the 19th of February.
keep in touch and have a nice week

Sunday February 8
Bongiorno Tutti,
I've just spent 10 days at home,
after that so tiring trip between Korea and the United States. 10 who were a
must to be able to really and deeply recover from that two-weeks around the
earth journey. When I got home on January 27th, I was extremely
tired and with no energy at all. I need one week at least to find a normal
life cycle and to feel the form coming back, well to be a real Mellie again!
But of course, as soon as I was
readapted to normal home-town life, it was time to leave again!, That's a drag
to be an artist, no time to take a breath, especially during winter-time!
I flew yesterday (Saturday the 7th)
away for about 2 months travel through North America and Europe. At first we
stop at Vancouver on the 2010 Olympic-site.There we've got a race on Fryday the
13 th ofFebruary, that's a place I love
and which gives me a first approach of the Olympic games...
second stop at Stonham, in the Canadian east near Quebec, where the finals are on thre19th at 11
o'clock, local time. Third stop at Sun River (USA), finals the 28th
at 10, local time. Than back to Europe for a race at La Molina in Spain, finals
on the 13 th of March. Finally we'll be at Valmalenco, Italy, for the last
final of 2008-2009 boardercross season, on Friday, the 20th of March.
As you see, the season is not over yet !!! The rest of our time table is quite heavy !
As usual, I count on you to think about me and send me good luck, I`ll thing about you during my whole journey.
Kisses,
Mellie
Update of the gallery on the tour 08/09. Just have a look ;-)
Thursday January 22
Hello you!
That’s the way the job should be done: a beautiful podium at the World Championship in Korea! I get the third place behind my colleague Olivia Nobs and the young Norwegian girl, Helen Olafsson, the champion of the world.
As soon as I’ve got down the Korean podium, I found myself in Aspen USA, for this exceptional race: the X-games.
To be honest, I don’t really know what I’m doing and where I am due to all jets leg under last week. Tiredness and black rings around the eyes are the salary for all the lively nights. Since I left Switzerland I haven’t had no night without dancing, laughing and drinking for a few hours at least. That isn’t easy to be an artist… But I have no choice and I manage better and better.
The X-games finals take place on Saturday the 24th, they’ll go live on American channels, on Eurosport and on the net, but I don’t really know when… For you to find out…
So long, have a nice time,
Mellie
Tursday January 15
Hello everybody,
After the races in Austria where I arrived 6th and the 8th and where I crashed twice, I had no time to take a breath and here I am, on the other side of the earth for the Snowboard World Championship in Corea. Quite a place! Here is one only hill, completely artificial with 5 lifts, the whole thing is very small, even smaller than the slope in my hometown... And all snow is artificial too, you can imagine the conditions: hard and icy is an understatement...
Yesterday we had our first look at the slope and our first training time. The runway isn't very long but very technical and quite perfekt, it feels like a video game, I love it! Everything went really well during this try, good feeling and super good ride, which is a good sign for the next few days.
On Friday we'll have some more training, on Saturday the qualifications and on Sunday the finals will take place at around noon, corean time. The finals will be showed on TSR 2 (swiss TV) at 2 pm on Sunday 18th of January. Now you know what to do on your Sunday ;-)
For the time beeing, I wish you all a nice week, don't forget to enjoy yourselves,
Mellie
Thursday January 7
Hello all of you,
On my way for some new adventures, direction Austria this time. I'm leaving today heading for Badgastein where 2 boardercross races will take place. The first one on Saturday evening, the 10th of January at about seven p.m. and the second one on Sunday 11 at 3 p.m. The whole thing will be sent on ORF, the austrian channel. So if the weather is worthless this week-end or if you are depressed and don't know what to do: look at theese races and hold your breath for me:-) that will give me some more power :-). But first of all the qualifications on Saturday morning and Sunday morning...
I count on you to send me so many good vibes that I'll beat them all, this time ,-) !!!
Big kisses to everyone, long life to the snow, the sun and the evergreens.
Mellie
Wednesday December 24
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a sweet and Happy New Year 2009 ;-)
Monday December 22
Buenas Dias ;-)
Back home after that famous race in Arosa where things didn’t really work out for me. I did not qualified with the 19th. best time, which is my worst result for the past two years. I must say that the conditions were extremly hard, too much new snow on the way and fog. And of course I had the number one, I had to start which was bad luck thinking of all the snow. My first run looked more as freeride as boardercross, so deep was the snow!!! At the second try, it was still blizzard, I really went for it, as Super-Mellie, I didn’t had any look at the speedcheck while runing, everything felt quite good but that was not enough to reach the 16th. time… I haven’t really understood why yet, I don’t know but I was extremly disappointed :-(
But my motivation is still the same and I’ll do better next time!
For the time beeing, I wish all of you a merry Christmas and a very Happy New-Year.
See you later
Mellie

Sunday December 14
Hello, hello, here I come again !
This time begin the serious part !!! I leave today to Saas-Fee and meet the whole SBX Swiss team, then we leave to Arosa, there the second World Cup competition shall happen.
After an excellent physical training with Florian and an intensive training on snow, I feel in super shape, ready and motivated as never before to give all I've got, to try to win that race in my homecountry. I feel excited as a bull before a corrida ;-).
On Thursday start the recongnition of the slope and the training on it. On Friday take place the qualifications at 12.30pm and on Saturday it's time for the Finals at 1pm:-). I still don't know the exact timetable yet, but I'll write it here as soon as I know it.
I count on you to support me on Saturday, your thoughts means a lot to me, thanks in advance ;-). My best wishes to you all, you'll heard from me very soon with some more precises news.
A big hug
Mellie
Friday Novembre 21...
Hello everybody...
Finally, here comes an update of my littlte place on the net, ready to work. It'll help me to tell you about everything I'm doing from anywhere on earth ! Which makes you able to follow my adventures ...
Many things happend lately: first of all we did a lot of training on snow on a glacier at Saas-Fee, with the whole swiss snowboardercross team, that will be every second week since the beginning of August, in order to get better and stronger than we alraedy are ;-) ! The weeks inbetween, when I'm not in the Alps, I work a lot with Floran Lorimier (Didier Cuche personal physic trainer) at my physical form. That 's a ready-made personal intense and very intresting training which surely is gonna help me to reach my goals.
At the first run of the 2008-09's boardercross Worldcup, in Chapelco-Argentina- I've taken the second place, behind Lindsay Jacobellis, USA. That was somme of a run, how difficult ,1 minutes 40 seconds long, with 8 big jumps, some of them over 25 meters long, 5 bangs and endless suite of bunches and other obstacles ....Well , it was a hell of a job to get through it, so of course I'm quite happy to show myself that I can make it!
Last of all my photo-book « Papua-Barat » came out in the shops on September 6th. This big-size book has got more than 300 beautiful photographs of people and nature that I took during our discouvery-trip through Western-Papuasia: seven months adventures in the heart of jungle, sharing the life of the most isolated cultures in the world, to meet this different village people among all Papous, was really a strong, intense and magical feeling, that's for sure! More info about the expedition and about the book: www.exploraction.ch and the book is available on: www.editions-gdencre.ch
OK, gottfolk (that's in swedish...) that was all for the time beeing, I hope you'll enjoy surfing on my new website ;-) !!!
